1º Access our VoiceThread.
     - 7th Grade - Do pages 13, 14, 15 and 16
     - 8th Grade - Do pages 14, 15 and 16

2º  To celebrate Saint Valentine choose 2 of the tasks below.  Get in touch with your inner Cupid and spread some love :)

• Create a Valentine's card on animoto.
• Recreate a scene in goanimate between 2 famous couples - it could be historical couples like Romeo and Juliet or present day couples that you like.
• Do a research project about famous historical couples and present it either through glogster or capzles.
• Go into the origins of St. Valentine's Day and create a presentation on it using PowerPoint or Movie Maker.
• Write a poem/song or choose a poem/song and then perform it (audio or Video)
• Create a wordsearch or a crossword with Saint Valentine related vocabulary - you can use Wordsearchmaker , Wordsearch or Justcrosswords.

2nd Assignment

8th Grade - Due on the 31st October

Hi guys, this assignment has two different tasks:

- Visit Halloween from Around the World and choose a country. Gather information about how that country celebrates Halloween. Then use GoAnimate and create an animation where you present the information you gathered in a fun way.

 It's time to practice your reading/speaking skills.
- Access audiopal,  vocaroo, or chirbit and record yourself reading the text on page 27 of your English book.

As always you'll need to share your work on the class blog afterwards.

9th Grade - Due on the 5th November 

Three different tasks guys.
First is optional the second and the third are mandatory.

1st
- Watch the video below and create a Halloween timeline using Capzles OR based on the information you gather from the video or any other reliable source (yes, you'll need to let us know what other sources you used) create a Halloween quiz using QuizRevolution 


2nd
 It's time to practice your reading/speaking skills.
- Access audiopal, vocaroo or chirbit and record yourself reading the text on page 27 of your English book.
- Access englishcentral and do this exercise. Use screencast-o-matic or screenr to video record yourself doing the exercise

3rd
Write a film review. Refer to the topics that appear on the page 27 of your book. Then access Glogster and create a poster for the movie you have chosen. Add images, text, video and audio to your poster. 

7th Assignment - St Valentine

Hi guys, hope you enjoyed your reading assignment. Am really looking forward to your presentations in class. :)

Now, as far as St.Valentine goes, we have joined the wiki Celebr8Uand MeDigitally, so lets create magic shall we? ;)

Please, choose 2 of the tasks below and then put it on your blog.

• Recreate a scene in Xtranormal between 2 famous couples - could be historical couples like Romeo and Juliet or present day couples from a romantic movie that you like.
• Do a research project about famous historical couples and present it either through glogster or capzles.
• Go into the origins of St. Valentine's Day and create a short movie on it using Movie Maker or just scrapblog
• Record a Valentine's message using Vocaroo
• Write a poem or choose a poem and then perform it (audio or Video)
• Research and send us the stories of a couple from our own culture using one of the web 2.0 tools of your choice.
• Prepare a crossword puzzle using justcrosswords
• Create a mini-dictionary using wordwizard.

6th Assignment

8th and 9th GRADE - Due on the 30th of January

Here's your 1st assignment of 2010. Hope you enjoy it! :)

This tasks is all about books, audiobooks to be precise. So, I want you to visit StoryBee, LoudLit and Storylineonline and choose ONE audiobook. Listen and/or read the story and then choose one or two of the tools below to: briefly present the author; explain what you (dis)liked about the story and then retell the story or create a new version of it.

13th Assignment

Awesome work with the magazines guys! :) Now lets make some more magic and move on to your next assignment, which will only be due on the 31st of May so as to give you time to deal with the upcoming tests. This assignment will still focus on the Media. You are only required to do ONE of the tasks below:

- Create a timeline using either Capzles or OurStory. It can be about a person's path or an event. Check Google News Timeline if you need inspiration.

- News in rap has a really interesting way of presenting the news: they rap about it! :) Your mission is to either record yourself (video or audio) performing their news in rap or you could go for bust and try to create your own News in Rap. If you pick the latter you can use Newsmap for inspiration and RhymeZone will help you out with the pesky rhymes. ;)

-Put yourself in a reporter's shoes and video yourself presenting a piece of news. Yes, you can make up your own news story. If you are camera shy head over to Xtranormal and create your news show there.

- News in rap tem uma maneira muito engraçada de apresentar as notícias: eles criam uma canção de rap! A vossa tarefa é gravarem (video ou audio) a vós próprios a cantarem uma das músicas deles, ou então podem dar tudo por tudo e tentar criar uma News in Rap. Caso escolham esta última, consultem o Newsmap para inspiração e encontrarão ajuda com as rimas na RhymeZone. ;)

-Finjam que são repórteres e filmem-se a apresentar as notícias. Sim, podem inventar as vossas próprias notícias. Se não conseguem lidar com as câmaras acedam ao Xtranormal e criem as vosso noticiário lá
