3rd Assignment

8th Grade - Due on the 12th of December

Lets bring some Christmas joy into our classes, shall we? Choose TWO of the tasks below.
1- In pairs use glogster, animoto, scrapblog, flixtime or goanimate and create a presentation on one of the following:
5 Christmas movies
5 Christmas songs to cheer you up
5 Christmas recipes (traditional)
5 decoration ideas to jazz up your homes

2- Share with us how you celebrate Christmas. Write a short text on it and add pictures that show your Christmas tree or any other Christmas decorations around your place. Email me the text when you are done.

3- Create a video or a PowerPoint presentation on the use of any of the grammar items we have learnt in class this term. Don´t forget to add examples.

9th Grade - Due on the 15th of December.

Choose ONE of the tasks below.
1- Share with us how you celebrate Christmas. Write a short text on it and add pictures that show your Christmas tree or any other Christmas decorations around your place. Email me the text when you are done.
2- Create a presentation on Prezi or PowerPoint and let the world know how we celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve in Madeira.

Again choose only ONE of the tasks below.
1- Choose a song, grab the lyrics from Lyrics.Wikia or Lyrics.com, draw or use images that portrait what happens in each line of the song. When you're done take a picture or scan your drawings and upload them to Movie Maker in order to create a music video for the song you chose.
I have placed a video below to show you what the end result might look like.
2- Review the verb tenses - present simple; present continuous, past simple, past continuous, present perfect, present perfect continuous - we have learnt in class this term and create a video that explains how and when a particular tense is used. Then use song lyrics to present examples of its use. You can download the audio of YouTube music videos using Flvto and then cut the excerpt of the music that interests you using mp3cut.net or cutmp3.net.
Below is an example of how your work might look like.
As soon as you finish your video you have two choices: either send me the file so I can put it online or you take care of that yourselves. Whichever you choose is fine by me.
